Mountain States Eye Center is a comprehensive ophthalmology practice in Salt Lake City, Utah under the supervision of Dr. Corey A. Miller and Dr. David L. DeMill. Using state-of-the-art techniques and equipment, our board-certified ophthalmologists and skilled staff members provide a wide variety of ophthalmic services.
Dr. Corey A. Miller is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist providing the highest quality of individualized care to patients of all ages at his Salt Lake City practice. Respected by his patients and peers alike, Dr. Miller has been recognized as one of America’s Top Rated Physicians.
Dr. Miller graduated Magna Cum Laude with his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah, where he also received his medical degree and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Upon completion of his medical degree, Dr. Miller completed a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Michigan, where he served as Chief Resident. Dedicated to his chosen field, Dr. Miller also completed a fellowship in Cornea and External Eye Disease at the University of Iowa.
Once his training was completed, Dr. Miller returned to Salt Lake City, where he opened his private practice and began teaching young doctors about cataract and refractive surgeries at the University of Utah. Dr. Miller’s practice has remained a staple in the area since then, as he strives to provide individualized attention to all of his patients.
In addition to his practice and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Miller is also the official eyecare specialist for the Utah Jazz.
Dr. Miller is an avid biker, fisherman and traveler, and enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Dr. David DeMill is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who strives to provide exceptional eye care to all of his patients. He prides himself on treating his patients like family. He specializes in cornea, refractive, cataract, and anterior segment surgery. He also sees patients for routine and diabetic eye exams, dry eyes, pterygium, keratoconus, glaucoma, macular degeneration, glasses and contact lenses.
Dr. DeMill was born and raised in Salt Lake City and received both his B.A. and M.D. from the University of Utah, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan and finished his training by completing a cornea, external disease and refractive surgery fellowship with world-renowned surgeon Dr. Mark Terry at the Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. DeMill has numerous peer reviewed journal publications and has written over 20 ophthalmology textbook chapters. He has given lectures about cornea transplantation (DMEK) at the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery national meetings, and has been an instructor in endothelial keratoplasty technique courses at AAO.
Dr. DeMill has a wife and 4 children. In his spare time he enjoys racquetball, tennis, golfing, biking, and skiing (water and snow). He is an accomplished musician and has played the saxophone and clarinet in a variety of professional venues. He also speaks fluent Spanish.
