Dr. Corey A. Miller is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist providing the highest quality of individualized care to patients of all ages at his Salt Lake City practice. Respected by his patients and peers alike, Dr. Miller has been recognized as one of America’s Top Rated Physicians.

Dr. Miller graduated Magna Cum Laude with his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah, where he also received his medical degree and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Upon completion of his medical degree, Dr. Miller completed a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Michigan, where he served as Chief Resident. Dedicated to his chosen field, Dr. Miller also completed a fellowship in Cornea and External Eye Disease at the University of Iowa.

Once his training was completed, Dr. Miller returned to Salt Lake City, where he opened his private practice and began teaching young doctors about cataract and refractive surgeries at the University of Utah. Dr. Miller’s practice has remained a staple in the area since then, as he strives to provide individualized attention to all of his patients.

In addition to his practice and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Miller is also the official eyecare specialist for the Utah Jazz.

Dr. Miller is an avid biker, fisherman and traveler, and enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

 

Welcome Dr. Corey J. Miller who is joining Mountain States Eye Center in August 2022! For Dr. Miller, joining Mountain State Eye Center is highly personal. Serving the patients that his father, Corey A. Miller, has cared for and treated for many years, is an honor and a privilege. Dr. Miller is committed to positively impacting his patients with every visit. He has seen the effects that ophthalmology can have on one’s life and seeks to provide eye care that is the highest standard for all of his patients.

Dr. Miller graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree. He attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine for medical school. He was awarded the Eli G. Alcorn and John B. Alcorn Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Ophthalmology for his research and dedication to ophthalmology as a medical student. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota where he received the Lee Best Resident Surgeon of the Year award. Following residency, Dr. Miller completed a prestigious anterior segment fellowship at Minnesota Eye Consultants, receiving subspecialty training in cornea, cataract, refractive, and external disease.

Dr. Miller remains committed to teaching, research and helping under-served populations. He speaks fluent Portuguese. In his free time, he loves to spend time with his wife and four children. They enjoy many sports, skiing, hiking, fishing and biking together.
